Footprints and Ripples

I’m a Communication major and an educator—and a country girl living in southeast Florida. I grew up in a small rural town in northeast Vermont, where I spent my childhood climbing, hiking, fishing, and otherwise adventuring.

I moved to Florida over thirty years ago seeking warmth and sunshine, and I’ve spent a good part of my time here searching for the Northeast in the Southeast. For years, I scouted antique shops and bed and breakfasts looking for charm, nature, and niches. Along the way, I happened upon Florida’s beautiful and secluded rivers and parks.
